Scale
Alcoholic Ingredients
- 2 oz Vodka (Can swap with white rum or coconut rum.)
- 1 oz Blue Curaçao (Optional for non-alcoholic version)
Non-Alcoholic & Mixers
- 2 oz Cream of Coconut (Recommended brand: Coco Lopez)
- 4 oz Pineapple Juice (Fresh juice enhances flavor)
- 1 cup Ice (Use a generous handful)
Garnishes
- 1/4 cup Shredded Coconut (Optional to toast for extra flavor)
- 1 Pineapple Wedge (Optional garnish)
- 1 Maraschino Cherry (Optional garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Glass: Spread shredded coconut evenly on a plate. Dip the rim of a serving glass into water or pineapple juice, then press it into the shredded coconut to coat the rim fully, creating a frosted coconut edge.
- Blend the Cocktail: In a blender, combine vodka, blue curaçao, cream of coconut, pineapple juice, and ice. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth, cold, and slushy in texture, ensuring all ingredients are well integrated.
- Serve and Garnish: Pour the blended cocktail into the prepared glass. Garnish with a fresh pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry on the rim or inside the drink. Serve immediately to enjoy the refreshing chill and tropical flavors.
Notes
- For a non-alcoholic version, omit the vodka and blue curaçao and consider substituting with blue food coloring or blue raspberry syrup for color.
- To enhance the coconut flavor, lightly toast the shredded coconut before using it to rim the glass.
- Fresh pineapple juice is preferred for the best natural sweetness and flavor profile but canned or bottled juice may be substituted if necessary.
- You can swap vodka for white rum or coconut rum to vary the flavor profile to suit your preference.
