Description

A delicious Smoky Parmesan Steak Linguine featuring tender sirloin steak, crisp broccoli florets, and sautéed mushrooms tossed in a light, flavorful Parmesan and lemon sauce. This quick and easy stovetop recipe balances smoky spices with fresh herbs for a satisfying weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Pasta

  • 8 oz linguine pasta

Protein & Seasoning

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Vegetables & Aromatics

  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms (cremini or button)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Others

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. Boil pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Cook steak: Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak with smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add steak in a single layer and cook 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove steak and set aside.
  3. Sauté vegetables: In the same skillet, add remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil. Add broccoli florets and mushrooms, sautéing for 5-6 minutes until broccoli is tender and mushrooms browned.
  4. Add garlic: Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Combine ingredients: Return steak to skillet along with cooked linguine. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water gradually to create a light sauce.
  6. Finish with cheese and herbs: Stir in Parmesan cheese, fresh parsley, and lemon juice. Taste and adjust salt and pepper if needed.
  7. Serve: Serve immediately, optionally garnished with extra Parmesan and parsley.

Notes

  • Reserve pasta water to help create a creamy sauce that coats the linguine perfectly.
  • Use thinly sliced sirloin for quick cooking and tenderness.
  • Adjust smoked paprika amount to control smokiness level.
  • Fresh parsley adds brightness and freshness to balance smoky steak.
  • Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.
