- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Vegetables & Aromatics
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms (cremini or button)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
Others
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Juice of 1 lemon
Instructions
- Boil pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- Cook steak: Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak with smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add steak in a single layer and cook 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Remove steak and set aside.
- Sauté vegetables: In the same skillet, add remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil. Add broccoli florets and mushrooms, sautéing for 5-6 minutes until broccoli is tender and mushrooms browned.
- Add garlic: Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Combine ingredients: Return steak to skillet along with cooked linguine. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water gradually to create a light sauce.
- Finish with cheese and herbs: Stir in Parmesan cheese, fresh parsley, and lemon juice. Taste and adjust salt and pepper if needed.
- Serve: Serve immediately, optionally garnished with extra Parmesan and parsley.
