Ingredients
Scale
Meat and Vegetables
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced thin (seeds removed)
- 1 pound boneless chuck steak, cut into thin strips
Sauce and Cheese
- 1 jar (16 oz.) Ragù® Cheese Creations Classic Alfredo sauce
- 2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
Additional Toppings and Bread
- 1 can (4 oz.) sliced olives
- 1 loaf French Bread
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 425° F and line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil to prepare for baking the pizzas.
- Sauté Peppers: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced red bell pepper and cook, stirring occasionally, for 3 to 4 minutes until the peppers are crisp-tender.
- Cook Steak: Add the thin strips of chuck steak to the skillet with the peppers. Cook until the steak is browned on all sides. Then pour half of the jar of Alfredo sauce over the steak and peppers, reduce heat to low, and stir until heated through. Remove from heat.
- Prepare Bread: Slice the French bread loaf in half lengthwise and place both halves cut side up onto the prepared baking sheet. Spread the remaining Alfredo sauce evenly over the bread halves.
- Assemble Pizzas: Evenly distribute the steak and pepper mixture over the bread halves. Sprinkle one cup of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of each half. Then spread the sliced olives evenly over the cheese.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread edges are crisp.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and let the French bread pizzas stand for 5 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy your flavorful meal!
Notes
- For extra spice, consider adding crushed red pepper flakes to the steak while cooking.
- Use leftover steak or substitute with other thinly sliced beef cuts if preferred.
- Freshly grated mozzarella can give better melt and flavor compared to pre-shredded cheese.
- Make sure to slice the bread lengthwise to create a sturdy base that holds toppings well.
- You can substitute olives with mushrooms or sautéed onions if desired.
