Description

This Garlic Butter Steak Tips with Cheesy Rigatoni recipe features tender, flavorful steak bites cooked in garlic butter and served over creamy, cheesy rigatoni pasta. With a rich sauce made from mozzarella, Parmesan, and heavy cream, this dish offers a decadent and satisfying meal perfect for dinner gatherings or a comforting weeknight treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak Tips

  • 1 lb steak tips, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Pasta

  • 12 oz rigatoni pasta

Cheesy Sauce

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil rigatoni pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside for later use.
  2. Prepare the Steak Tips: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak tips, season them with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper, and sear for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until nicely browned. Lower the heat to low, add butter and minced garlic, then stir to coat the steak tips in the garlic butter. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Make the Cheesy Sauce: In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add heavy cream, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until heated through. Gradually add shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  4. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Toss the cooked rigatoni in the cheesy sauce until all the pasta is evenly coated with the creamy cheese mixture.
  5. Assemble and Serve: Plate the cheesy rigatoni and top it with the garlic butter steak tips. Garnish with chopped parsley or extra grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately while hot.

Notes

  • Use fresh garlic for the best flavor in the garlic butter and cheese sauce.
  • Ensure the steak tips are evenly sized for uniform cooking.
  • You can substitute rigatoni with penne or other tubular pasta shapes if preferred.
  • For extra spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the steak while searing.
  • This dish pairs well with a fresh green salad or steamed vegetables for a completed meal.
