Description

These Breakfast Sliders are a delicious and easy-to-make morning treat featuring crispy bacon, savory breakfast sausage, fluffy scrambled eggs, and melted American cheese all sandwiched in soft Hawaiian rolls with a buttery maple glaze. Perfect for brunch gatherings or a hearty family breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale

Meat

  • 8 slices bacon, diced
  • ½ pound breakfast sausage

Eggs and Dairy

  • 8 eggs
  • ¼ cup heavy cream or milk
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 6-8 slices American cheese

Bread

  • 12 Hawaiian rolls

Other

  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ tablespoon maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F to prepare for baking the assembled sliders.
  2. Cook Bacon: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the diced bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon bits and drain on paper towels to remove excess grease.
  3. Brown Sausage: In the same skillet, brown the breakfast sausage over medium heat until fully cooked. Remove and set aside with the bacon.
  4. Scramble Eggs: Whisk together the eggs, heavy cream or milk, and salt in a medium bowl. Pour into the skillet over medium-high heat and scramble gently until just set but still moist. Remove from heat.
  5. Prepare Rolls and Layer: Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally to create top and bottom halves. On the bottom halves, evenly layer the scrambled eggs, browned sausage, and crispy bacon.
  6. Add Cheese and Top: Place the American cheese slices over the meat and egg layers, then cover with the top halves of the rolls.
  7. Glaze and Bake: Melt 3 tablespoons butter and mix with the maple syrup. Brush this maple butter glaze generously over the tops of the assembled sliders. Place the sliders on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.

Notes

  • Using Hawaiian rolls provides a soft, slightly sweet bread that complements the savory fillings perfectly.
  • You can substitute turkey sausage or vegetarian sausage to adjust the meat options.
  • For a sharper flavor, try using cheddar cheese instead of American cheese.
  • Make sure not to overcook the scrambled eggs to keep them moist and tender inside the sliders.
  • These sliders can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated before baking, perfect for busy mornings.
