Ingredients
Scale
Meat
- 8 slices bacon, diced
- ½ pound breakfast sausage
Eggs and Dairy
- 8 eggs
- ¼ cup heavy cream or milk
- 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
- 6-8 slices American cheese
Bread
- 12 Hawaiian rolls
Other
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ tablespoon maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F to prepare for baking the assembled sliders.
- Cook Bacon: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the diced bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon bits and drain on paper towels to remove excess grease.
- Brown Sausage: In the same skillet, brown the breakfast sausage over medium heat until fully cooked. Remove and set aside with the bacon.
- Scramble Eggs: Whisk together the eggs, heavy cream or milk, and salt in a medium bowl. Pour into the skillet over medium-high heat and scramble gently until just set but still moist. Remove from heat.
- Prepare Rolls and Layer: Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally to create top and bottom halves. On the bottom halves, evenly layer the scrambled eggs, browned sausage, and crispy bacon.
- Add Cheese and Top: Place the American cheese slices over the meat and egg layers, then cover with the top halves of the rolls.
- Glaze and Bake: Melt 3 tablespoons butter and mix with the maple syrup. Brush this maple butter glaze generously over the tops of the assembled sliders. Place the sliders on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.
Notes
- Using Hawaiian rolls provides a soft, slightly sweet bread that complements the savory fillings perfectly.
- You can substitute turkey sausage or vegetarian sausage to adjust the meat options.
- For a sharper flavor, try using cheddar cheese instead of American cheese.
- Make sure not to overcook the scrambled eggs to keep them moist and tender inside the sliders.
- These sliders can be assembled ahead of time and refrigerated before baking, perfect for busy mornings.
